Jader makes me laugh.
Last night I was getting her ready for bed and I changed her diaper and put her in her pajamas. I left her in her father's charge and went downstairs to work on the computer. He was responsible for reading her bedtime stories, brushing her teeth, then saying prayers with her and putting her to bed.
I was downstairs for about ten minutes when she came down the stairs to greet me in nothing but a swim diaper. Which, by the way, she had put on by herself, after taking off her fresh diaper and warm pajamas.
When she came around the corner to greet me, she made a huge swimming motion with her arms. It was adorable. She was ready for me to take her swimming again.
This afternoon, after changing her diaper to put her down for her nap, she did something else to make me laugh. Well, I'm laughing now, but I didn't think it was very funny at the time.
I had just changed her, and she was standing on her changing table looking out the window. I was standing right next to her, and she asked for milk. I told her she could have some milk as soon as she swallowed the food in her mouth. She was working on a small piece of cheese and small piece of carrot from out pasta salad we had for lunch.
Instead of swallowing the food, she looked directly at me (we are each at eye level with one another) and spit it right in my face! I had pieces of chewed up carrot in my hair, on my face, and on my shirt. Of course, I was caught off guard, and chose to gently reprimand her. My payback? Another spit of carrot in the face. In fact, she did it three times total. And then she laughed at me. She just wouldn't take me serious that I didn't like her spitting in my face. Silly girl.
Do I blame her, or my husband since he is the one who taught her how to spit in the first place?
