I feel like I've neglected my little one for the last three days, and that her new best friend is the computer screen, where it seems like Finding Nemo is in a constant loop. Not that she minds, because she would stare at the screen all day long if I let her. I think it's because we don't have a TV and when I do let her watch a video (usually Signing Time!) she just eats it up.
This is the first winter we've had in four years. It has hit us hard! And, in more ways than one. We've been more sick this winter than the last five years combined. Jader is always catching something in Nursery. Which may or may not infect us. This last round started with her Strep Throat. Then I got a bladder infection. Over the weekend Austin caught the flu, and passed it along to me. For a while I thought Jader had it, but come to find out, I think she is teething. It is terrible to think this, but had she gotten sick, too, it wouldn't have been so hard for me to take care of her. She is such a ball of energy that I have a hard time keeping up with her when I am well. Throw in fever, chills, cough, a headache that feels like a 300 pound person is sitting on my head, and no appetite or energy, and I am down for the count.
We were all set to take a family vacation to southern Utah this weekend, but needless to say, it has been canceled (postponed) to a future date. I can't wait to enjoy some warmer weather.

I wanted to share this picture with you from August 2007 for two reasons. One, I can't wait until we can play in the grass and enjoy the pleasant summer nights. And, the second reason is to paint of picture of what our winter has been like this year. You see that red swing in the picture? Between snowfall, and some drift, the snow is past the bottom of that swing. The whirly twirl in the background is completely covered. You can't see any part of it. That is why I am sick. of. winter. I will say one positive thing though, I am thankful for the moisture we have received and look forward to a water surplus this summer.

I was wondering where you've been. I hope you're feeling better soon. When you finally get around to making that trip to Southern Utah why don't you just keep going til you get to Vegas? It's not exactly summer here, but NO SNOW! I have definitely noticed that my kids have been healthier since we've lived here. Except Camden does get sick every time he goes to nursery too, but just minor colds usually, nothing serious.
Sorry to hear you have been sick. It sounds like your family can't catch a break. As for the snow, I agree. I'm ready for it to melt. Thanks for posting that picture. I had almost forgotten what grass looked like. Just a few more weeks...
It has been a big winter this year, fortunately for me my family hasn't been too sick, we have all been doing really well.
I hope you get better... and I'm with you on the warm weather! I'd love to go somewhere right now that is a little warmer!
I'm sick of winter too, Julie. I can't wait for it to be over. I can thankfully say that there has been less sickness with Logan and I this year than any other year, so I'm greatful for that. I think Scott has done better this year than he did last year too. I'm sorry that you have all be sick so often. I hope you all get better soon. It will be over soon! I hope..
I'm so excited for the warm weather! I am going a little stir crazy... So is Blake! :) I am most looking forward to wearing my sandals as well. I am sick of wearing socks and tying my shoes. haha...(I am aware that sounds really lazy;) )
