The brand of frame is Nicole Miller, and the model is Riviera Rita. The color is Spice. These pictures make the frame look black (or at least dark brown), but they are a warm brown color. In fact, the color alters faintly as light passes through the frame. That's one reason why I think plastic frames are so fun.
I love glasses with plastic frames. I owned my previous pair since 1999. I don't remember anyone wearing this style of glasses before then, but now they are really popular. Believe me, I am not following the trend. If anything, I started it!
I promised my husband that I would take better care of this pair of glasses, because they cost us a pretty penny!
Jader broke my last pair when I left them out on the coffee table. She got up before me and went into the living room to play. She knows she isn't supposed to play with my glasses, but I wasn't there to watch her. She brought the glasses to me in two pieces saying, "uh-oh". Um....yeah.
I wasn't devastated because the lenses were so scratched, and the frames were starting to crack along the top rim. So, I was really needing a new pair. However, I don't like spending money on myself, and felt especially bad since I had left them out neglectfully. I think my guilt is what kept me from buying glasses sooner rather than later. I'm just happy I finally have an alternative to wearing contacts all the time.

I have had 2 pairs of my glasses broken by my children, luckily isn't wasn't 5, one for each child, but I think that could quite possibly be because I haven't bought any new ones for over a year and a half! I like them. I do love that style, but have never found a pair that looks food on me, some glasses just don't go on anyones face, and that is the kinds that doesn't work for me, but you look good in them!!
I hate when I make a typo on a comment and don't see it until I post, is there a way to edit them, I can't figure it out!
I love the new frames! I think you look great in glasses. I used to wear them until I got married and had laser surgery. I could never keep track of my glasses because I never found a comfortable pair and was always taking them off.
I love those pictures of you! Your hair...your glasses...you're just pretty, Julie. I don't think I've had a pair of glasses for over five years. Maybe one day I'll get one again. Do you feel as though you're looking out of a fish bowl when you first put them on? I remember that I used to get that sensation occasionally. Anyway, they look good, but I actually think it's you who makes them look good, not the other way around. =)
