New Job

I took the job as the assistant softball coach for the high school team. Everything fell into place that I needed to have happen so I would feel comfortable with the decision. It just felt 'right'.

I have wonderful young women lined up to take care of my daughter, and I feel this decision will positively affect all of my family. I will be better off because I'll have a break to pursue my interest of coaching; I'll also get some exercise in. My daughter will enjoy being watched by girl's that she knows, and the young girls will gain some experience caring for a toddler.

The only one that might not benefit directly is my husband. Honestly, though, he'll benefit because his wife will be refreshed and renewed. Also, I plan to have dinner cooking while I am gone so our family routine isn't interrupted. I'll be using crockpot meals a lot, and I even have a fancy oven that you can set up delayed cooking. I used that feature this evening to make chicken and rice casserole. It worked lovely. I was so excited to come home from practice to a prepared (and finished!) meal. After being in the biting cold wind, it was so rewarding to sit down to a homemade meal right out of the oven.

In two months time, I hope I can still say that this was the right decision. Time will tell.

You are Super Mom! You make everything from scratch, you coach on the side, you even cook full meals without even being there!! What can't you do?!
