Monthly 1000

I've decided to reactivate my Monthly 1000 Goal. This goal is to exercise 1000 minutes every month, and to keep track of the activities that I do for exercise. I think I found this on a Mothering.com after I had my baby.

I was doing this a year ago, before our big move, and for some reason I just lost track of it after the move. I made a spreadsheet, assigned each sheet a month of the year, and made some columns to keep track of the date, activity, details, and time. The time column sums the minutes and keeps track of my progress.

It's fascinating to look back and realize that at this time last year, I was taking a lot of kickboxing classes at a local gym. I would babysit one day a week, for an hour, and I had a free membership to the gym. I miss that setup. That was the life.

This year, my initial entries will be weight-lifting, softball, and walking. Interspersed will be swimming, bike riding, and hiking. I am looking forward to an active summer. Can't wait!

The weather was so nice today. We went for a family walk. I really enjoyed it. It seemed like everyone in the neighborhood had the same idea as well.
