So Cute! We must be doing something right!

Jader was playing with her kitchen set, and she was preparing to feed her pet kitten some food. She had a tray set out with a plastic tomato and a plastic potato.

I was about 10 feet from her and heard her start saying words very similar to the beginning of a prayer of blessing on the food. Sure enough, when I turned to look at her, she had her arms folded, her head bowed, and was saying "Fader, peas bwess ......" mixed in with some more 'Fader's' and 'bwess'.

I couldn't help but smile and be proud of my little girl.

ETA: I have another prayer story with Jader that happened last night. She awoke in the middle of the night, with what I assume was a nightmare. Austin went into her room to comfort her, and he couldn't get her to settle back down in her crib. She started asking for what he assumed was her bear, but then realized she was asking him to say another prayer. So, while holding her in the middle of her dark room, her daddy said another prayer for her that she would sleep well and know that she was safe. Listening from our room, I couldn't help but smile and be proud of my loving husband and my sweet little girl.
