I called Austin right away, and he came home to investigate. After cutting a large hole in our dry wall, he found the culprit. It was a water supply hose, and the water was leaking from the gasket near the top bolt.
Thankfully, we were able to replace both hoses, for less that $3 each, and all we need to do now is let things dry out and reinstall drywall.
For now, this is what our laundry room looks like. I'm just glad it wasn't a bigger plumbing problem and that we aren't out a lot of money. I also feel fortunate that this is the first problem we have had with our house in the 16 months that we have owned it. Not too shabby.

At least you caught it quickly. If we ever finish our basement (unlikely) we will probably put in a suspended ceiling. They don't look as nice, but they give you easier access. It's a good thing you have a handy husband!
We got home last Saturday from eating at a friends house and found our water heater's pressure value was shot. It was leaking out water all over our garage floor. Luckily it barely started right before we came home. It took us two days to find the part and fix it but we are able to trap the water in a rubbermaid tote. So glad we got home in time to fix it.
