I'm a Model

A 'belly' model, that is. I recently had a photo shoot of my belly at a local portrait studio. They called and asked me if I would be willing to have some pictures taken of my belly so they could make a coupon for expectant mothers. The coupon will be included in a package one of local doctors gives out to all of his patients.

It was an interesting experience, but it was fun at the same time. Here is one picture that was taken.

I really love this boy that is about to come into the world, but I received some disheartening news this morning that he is double footling breech. He has a couple of weeks to turn on his own (believe me, I will be trying all that I can do to help him change positions), and if he doesn't move on his own, I will more than likely be asking my doctor to an External Cephalic Version (ECV) procedure.

This procedure is basically an attempt from the doctor to rotate the baby from a breech position to a headfirst position. It sounds painful, but if it comes to it, I'd rather try the ECV before consenting to just having a cesarean section.

I'm nervous about the whole situation, and know that I will be saying a lot of fervent prayers asking that this baby will rotate on his own so I can still have a vaginal birth. So, for any of my praying readers, please keep us in your thoughts.

One thing you might want to try is exercising in a pool. I have read several case studies where babies have turned later in pregnancy when exposed to the buoyancy properties of water. It's worth a try, besides it feels great on your back to get the pressure off for a little while and also helps with swollen ankles.

Yes, yes, yes! You are in my prayers, Julie. I know this must be weighing on your mind as your due date looms close. I hope with all my heart your baby boy decides to move on his own and is able to have a peaceful, natural birth. By the way, I love the belly picture!

After I saw this I had to make my sister do it too. Anyone who's lucky enough to not get stretch marks needs to do this lol
Beautiful!!

I'm not surprised you are a belly model- you are so cute, and 2 weeks from your due date you look about 7 months along! I'll say a prayer for you and bean II. It will be okay, I'm sure of it!

I've been thinking about you a lot lately. You are in a tricky situation. Has baby turned yet? I can really relate to how you are feeling. My little guy ended up being transverse at about 36 weeks. Turned right before a scheduled c section at 39 weeks and then turned back to transverse, so I ended up having a c section anyway. Some things happen for a reason! I think this "little" guy wasn't going to come any other way. I hope whatever happens is best for baby and you are okay with it all. Keep us posted! Also, I like your model pics, you are not very big...amazing!
