The New Plan

As hard as I've tried, and believe me, I've tried, I can not get this baby to turn from the breech position. He's settled in and is in it for the long haul, albeit soon to be shortened haul.

I tried coaxing him to turn by doing handstands under water at our local indoor pool.

I've tried doing inversions twice (or more) a day, either on a bed, the stairs, or on my hands and knees.

I've tried doing a breech tilt while laying on an ironing board. (I'm lucky it didn't bend under all my pregnancy weight).

Because he is not moving, I have scheduled to have the External Cephalic Version (ECV) done tomorrow morning. Bright and early.

If the version is successful, and the baby moves to the head down position, then I will be able to wait and go into labor on my own.

If the version is unsuccessful, I will have a scheduled Cesarean Section on Friday.

If 'all hell breaks loose' (to quote my doctor), there is a chance I could have the baby tomorrow.

All of these options are hitting me like a ton of bricks. I feel like I still have a lot to do to get ready.

I don't have my bags packed. The car seat isn't installed in the car. My kitchen isn't cleaned. I don't have the bed made where my mom will sleep when she will come to help me with my daughter and newborn son.

I'm trying to take deep breaths and send positive energy to my little guy to let him know that everything is going to be Okay. I'm putting my faith and trust in the Lord. Everything is His will. And, even though this pregnancy hasn't recently progressed as I thought it would, and even though I am very scared and overwhelmed, I do know that things will turn out as they should.

I just pray for a healthy baby and a healthy momma.

Funny Story...I was talking about you to my little sister Mindi, the one who works at the pool and she was like..."Oh, is she trying to turn her baby?" And I said, yeah how did you know that? Then she said "There was some pregnant lady doing handstands in the pool and I was like what the heck is she doing! I thought it was your friend but I couldn't tell because she had a cap on."
It was pretty funny, but I guess one of the other instructors finally told her why you were doing acrobatics in the pool! lol
Anyway, I hope after all of this, the doctor can turn him. But if not, I know everything will be fine. Good Luck!
