She has been sleeping on a twin for quite some time now. She transferred from her crib directly to a twin shortly after her second birthday. Her bed is quite tall, and I was afraid of her falling out of it, so we purchased a safety rail to go with it. More often than not, when I check on her at night, I find her sleeping against the rail in some manner. I'm pretty sure there is a safety message on the rail that says children shouldn't sleep against it because there is a suffocation risk.
I wonder if I am going to have to wean her off her safety rail someday?

I have the same rail, and Lacy is the same way on hers. My boys were too. It did take some time to wean them off it. I remember when my oldest was young he didn't feel safe without it on his bed. I like in on Lacy's bed because we have her bed on risers (to fit food storage underneath) and that makes the bed an extra 8 inches tall or so.
