Floss Picks

After Jader turned three, we started flossing her teeth. Prior to this, we were only brushing her teeth, and usually only at night. Now, we are brushing in the morning and night, and flossing at night as well.

It was difficult to get our big fingers with floss wrapped around them into her tiny mouth. And, I felt it was the most important to get to her back molars because that is where most of the food would be getting stuck, and more than likely where a cavity would start if she got any. And, lately, I've been hearing some sad cavity stories in little children. I will do all that I can to help my daughter avoid a dentist drill. I guaran-damn-ty it.

Not too long after we started flossing, I got the idea to purchase some floss picks. You know, the little plastic picks with floss between the two ends, so you can reach in and floss with ease.

Crest Glide is our absolute, hands-down, favorite floss. I was so happy to find out that they had floss picks. I used them in Jader's mouth, and we no longer have a small space issue when it comes to flossing. Now, I just have to teach her how to floss by herself, because I can't forsee always purchasing the floss sticks. I think they are a waste of resources. But, without sounding hypocritical, they are working for us now.

Just thought I would share.

I have to agree! Floss picks are the best for little kids, and they are so much easier than trying to floss with the normal stuff!
