I have color-coordinated my closet. In the past, I have had clothes color-coordinated (like colors hanging with like colors), but I have gone one step further and color-coordinated the hangers with said clothes.
One day, I hope to have wood hangers for all of my clothing, but for now, it just isn't in the budget. Besides, my clothes are too inexpensive to be hanging off a fancy hanger. In the future, we plan to have a no door closet, with everything in the open. When this happens, I plan to have lovely hangers, and beautiful storage pieces. But, for now, this has really been working for me.
I know immediately if a shirt I am looking for is clean or dirty. I know exactly where a shirt needs to hang once it returns from the laundry. I am happy every time I look into my closet because I love the tidiness of it, and how vibrant the colors are.
Okay, enough said. I am officially a weirdo.
Let's move on to my bedroom. I want some help decorating it. I have moved to a way of thinking, and I want to put my bedroom as a priority in my decorating scheme.
Here are a couple of pictures of what it looks like now. This is the view from the door, when you first walk into the room.
And, a view of the bed and wall.
And, a view of the dresser (opposite wall from bed).
The only items hanging in this room are the clock above the bed, and the mirror above the dresser. It needs much more. Give me your ideas on what I can do to liven this area up. It's a light room because it is painted yellow (the color of paint was on the walls when we moved in. Some days I like it, other days I hate it. I'm still trying to figure out what color is right for a master bedroom that suits both Austin and I.), and I'm sorry, but the pictures were taken at night, that is why the true color isn't reflected in the pictures.
Okay, I'm ready for your suggestions.

I love how organized you are! I tried the hangar thing once. I'm sure you can imagine how Scott reacted. lol
Julie,
You have a blank canvas! Start by making a 'taco'. collect pics of rooms you like, fabrics that speak to you, pics with the 'feeling' you want in your room. A design path will show itself. i would be happy to help you down the path.
Where did you get the clock above your bed I love it I want one for my room too...
