day 24- a letter to your parents
Dear Mom and Dad,
Thank you for being wonderful parents and for raising me in a loving and secure environment. Thank you for giving me many wonderful opportunities to explore who I am and what I like. I feel very lucky to have had parents like you.
Dad, thank you for your constant encouragement to finish college. I really do feel like I did it for you. There were times when my classes were so hard, and I felt like I couldn't continue, but you always gave me the extra nudge to continue and accomplish my goal. I hope I have made you proud. I take that back. I know I have made you proud.
Dad, I miss you like crazy and love you even more.
Mom, thank you for being a listening ear and having such an understanding personality. I know that we don't have a lot in common when it comes to fashion, food, and other areas, but our personalities are very similar. I love to see you interact with people. You are so kind, and quick to provide a smile and a 'hello'. It doesn't matter who the person is. You are not judgemental, but compassionate towards other's situations. Thank you for that positive role model.
I hope that as I go through my own journey of parenthood, that I can raise my children in the same manner that you've raised me. I want them to be strong, independent, and well-rounded children. I look to your example as I fulfill my role as mother.
I love you both, dearly.

Very sweet letter. I've met your mom (briefly) and she is very nice. Your dad sounds like he was a really neat guy, too. Thanks for sharing!
