One of the benefits of making my own money is spending it. Duh! :)
I didn't feel like spending any money the first couple of months after I started designing blogs. The main reason was, I couldn't wrap my mind around the idea that people were willing to pay me to do something that I thought was fun. It didn't feel like work, and I couldn't believe that the trend would continue. I thought it was a fluke, the initial amount of money I made. So, I didn't want to spend it. I wanted to save it. Just in case it quit coming in.
But, I purchased my friend's dot com in October and since then I've had a pretty steady line of clientele through my site and through my newly acquired site.
The spending started before Christmas, and I haven't stopped yet. :)
Recently, I purchased a few beauty products. Things I couldn't justify purchasing with the money Austin makes because he doesn't understand girl beauty products. So, it is nice to be able to find and buy things that I don't have to justify to him. And I can purchase things for him without him knowing. Yay!
I bought a Clarisonic Plus which is a skin cleansing system. Totally love it!
I also bought another product that uses the same technology as the Clarisonic. In fact, the products were each made by the same company. I bought a Sonicare toothbrush. I have been wanting one for quite some time, but Austin always balked at the cost. Well, I surprised him, and bought the package that came with two brush bases. He has really liked it, too. Says his teeth have never felt cleaner. I bought the Flex Care line with the sanitizing option. It's pretty fun to brush your teeth with an electric brush...it even massages gums, and times everything for you! Easy-peasy!
Other purchases I have made include some products from the Moroccan Oil line. I bought the shampoo and conditioner. As well as the glimmer shine spray, light treatment, and the hydrating mask. Wow! These products are lush and leave my hair looking and feeling so great. Love them!
My next big purchase is going to be a chair for my desk. I really want the Steelcase Think chair, but I am finding some difficulty in spending $800 for a chair! I need to find another alternative. Any suggestions?

Way to go! I was wondering why you had two websites. That makes a lot of sense. You are doing some really cute work. As for the chair, it's where you spend most of your time earning the money, so you might as well get the one you want. The toothbrush sounds fun. Maybe if I got one I could quit singing the alphabet song!
