Labor Day Weekend

We spent our Labor Day weekend with Austin's family in Wales.

Wales, Utah.

Not Wales, the country on the European Continent. Although, that would have been fun. Someday I would like to travel and visit the United Kingdom. For now, we travel to Sanpete County.

Our weekend activities began with a camping trip to Left Fork of Huntington Canyon. It was our first camping trip with Jader (this is our daughters internet name, people) and she really loved the outdoors. As I knew she would.

What I was not prepared for, however, was how lousy she slept in the tent with us that night. I am used to her sleeping through the night with nary a peep. Not this night. She was waking up (it seemed) every two to three hours. Screaming. I don't know if it was because she was in an unfamiliar place or if she didn't like sleeping between her mom and dad. I am hoping that since we were camping near a stream that all of her screams were drowned out by the roaring river. Let us hope.

Besides, we woke up, had breakfast, then broke camp and got-on-out-of-there before any other campers could come complaining to us.

Other than the sleeping at night issue, the camping trip was a great success. She enjoyed playing in the dirt, in the water, picking up a piece of cow dung, climbing on the picnic table, and looking cute in cold weather clothes. We hope to take her out again, and soon.

Trying, again, to win a Signing Time DVD from My Two Boys.
