I really enjoy the month of November. I love that I have a good excuse to reflect and ponder the things I am grateful for. I feel that I am always in the 'thankful' mode, but with this month, we are almost forced to relax and realize how truly blessed we are all in our lives.
I am thankful for:
1. My family. Immediate and extended. I feel extraordinarily lucky to have been blessed with great examples in my life, and with people that love and care for me. Words can not express how I feel about my sweet husband and daughter.
2. My health. As my cute, little friend from Thailand stated, "healthy physical means you are being healthy with your physical". I enjoy being healthy with my physical and how it makes me feel.
3. My down comforter. I love the comforter on my bed. I couldn't sleep without it. Especially since we moved to an area that has cold winter nights.
4. Socks. Especially warm socks like smartwool socks.
5. That our speaking assignment for our new ward has been fulfilled and that we don't have to stress about that again anytime soon.
6. That my period didn't start for almost eleven months after Jader was born. This was due largely to the fact that she was exclusively breastfeed for nine of those months. Unfortunately, it has returned, since she is 18 months old, I have been dealing with Aunt Flow for the past seven months. Hate it!!!
7. Breastfeeding. That I was able to breastfeed my daughter from birth and that we both enjoy the closeness that it brings into our relationship.
8. Ice Cream. Love it! Crave it! Gotta have it!
9. Dishwashers. When we moved to Price, we were in an apartment for two months before we purchased our house. We didn't have a dishwasher for two months, and it felt like torture. I hope to never have to live without one again. However, I do enjoy hand washing larger dishes. It is kind of relaxing.
10. My freedoms. I enjoy living in this great country and being a U.S. Citizen. I feel extremely blessed to live in this country and to enjoy the many freedoms that are afforded to me.
I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving and challenge you to take a moment and reflect upon what you are grateful for in your life. My list could go on and on.......
