Another activity from our Holiday Joy advent activity decoration. You can see my other activities here, and here.
This is what I came up with for my ten best memories from the past year.
1. New job opportunity for Austin which allowed us a chance to have a higher income and a better way of life.
2. Move to Price, Utah. This move allowed us to be closer to family members, live in a smaller town with a slower pace of life, and afforded us the chance to purchase a nice home to raise our family in.
3. Jader turning one year old. Even if it was in our yucky, grungy apartment and we were all by ourselves because we didn't know anybody to invite, and we didn't have the room to host family members.
4. Going back to Hurricane, Utah, to pick up our cat that we had to leave behind when we moved. We knew we'd be in an apartment for a short amount of time, and we couldn't take him with us. This story is an entire post by itself and I will try to remember to include it for your pleasure. It's a goodie.
5. Taking first place in city league softball and playing with some girls I played against when I was in high school.
6. Attending my ten year high school reunion and being able to catch up with some old friends.
7. Trip to Moab, Utah, to hike the Fiery Furnace. I especially liked riding around with my parents in Arches National Park after the trip. It was enjoyable to sit and visit with them in the car. They were so good to meet us there and watch Jader while we hiked.
8. Getting together for Thanksgiving at my folks home and watching all of the grandkids play so well together. You can see a picture of them here on Kristin's site. Don't they all look adorable? Keep in mind, this picture is missing two grandkids.
9. Making a lot of good memories with my dad when he stayed with me while receiving cancer treatments for his prostate. He stayed with me for about 12 days and I really enjoyed talking and visiting with him. It gave me a chance to really get to know him and not have a lot of other distractions around. He is a wonderful, wonderful man and I respect him so much. I will always be grateful for the chance I had to have him in my home. I wouldn't change that opportunity for anything.
10. Being with my husband and daughter daily is always a good memory. I enjoy being able to stay home and raise my little girl. It is empowering and I feel privileged to be able to have a husband with a stable income, an ability to stay out of debt which allows us to live on a single income, and to live in an area that has a lower cost of living.
Now it's your turn to take a couple minutes to list the ten best memories of the year 2007.
