The post where you don't see Jader on Santa's lap

We took The Bean to see Santa tonight at our local library. I wanted to capture the cutest picture of her in her little elf outfit on Santa's lap, but, she would not cooperate.

She was afraid of Santa.

Normally she does very well in new social situations. But, she has never liked old men with white beards. And, Hello, the epitome of Santa. So, we didn't get any pictures of her there. We were too busy trying to console her because she freaked out and started crying. I'll keep trying to take her to visit Santa, because he'll be making some guest appearances at some other local businesses in the coming weeks. Thinking back, maybe I should have put her on his lap, so I could get a priceless picture like the one Jen took, here. I love that picture. Makes me laugh every time I see it.

At the library, they handed out a little sack full of goodies for the children, had two craft tables set up, and let them decorate their own cookie. It was a fun night.
