Preparedness Challenge Participants

After Lara mentioned my challenge in her Blog, I received a lot of page views. Much more than I am used to. So, now I am curious to know who is following this challenge.

Who are my participants?

Introduce yourselves to me and let me know why you want to do this challenge. Let me know if you have any questions, or if you want me to add another element to the challenge.

I have a lot of Utah readers, and I want to meet you in the blogosphere. Even though this is an unconventional way to connect, I still think it is exciting.

Don't be shy. I'd just like to hold you accountable. :)

If you are curious about how I know the details of the visitors to my blog, you should check out Google Analytics. It's addicting!

Welcome to the challenge, Marne. I am glad you are participating. I also have to mention that your name is one of my family names, and I was almost given the same name. Up until the day I was born, I was going to be Marne. If I am lucky to have another girl, that will most likely be her name.

Guess what? Except for the home inventory I am all caught up with the notebook and the shopping! Next week is going to be busy but I am going to start on it after that. How are you doing yours? Are you including photos or are you just making a list?

Hey Julie, while I am not doing the "Challenge" I do want to thank you for introducing me to Google Analytics! You are right, it is addicting. I can't wait to learn how to use it a bit better.

Okay, Okay! I guess since I'm blog-stalking your preparedness challenge, I'll introduce myself :) Only teasing! I just have a huge interest in emergency preparedness and I found your blog through Lara's link. I really liked the notebook idea with extra keys, home inventory etc. so I thought I'd join in. I had already completed a similar thing (making copies of our ID etc.) but your notebook idea is much more inclusive and sounds like it will work better. I'm loving it so far, by the way! Thanks.

TLO- I'm glad you're caught up. I know it will be easier if we keep on top of it.
I am doing well on the challenge. Like you, it will take some time to update my inventory. We just switched to a new data program and the data entering has been slow going. We include photos of all our valuables and keep a back up disk of everything.

Kimi- Welcome! I look forward to hearing about your progress with the challenge, and getting to know you through your blog. What a new way to connect, don't you think?

Mark- You sure you don't want to do the challenge?

Jill- Thanks for the comment, and for stalking me. That's exciting! I'm glad to hear from you, I had a couple of referrals from your site, and I didn't know who you were. If you are comfortable, drop me an email (on my profile) and add me to your private blog. I like meeting women that I have a lot in common with. It's empowering!

thank you thank you thank you!! i am new to all this and was so overwhelmed by the info on MDC...this is just what i need. i am starting today but ammassing a huge pile of things to copy tomorrow so i can completely catch up on the GAG. (well, maybe a little slower on the inventory...ouch!). the stockpile will also have to be done more slowly, as $$ allows. i found your blog from Lara's blog

I am bloghopping trying to get some help with menus and came across your challenge. I am working on getting my home reorganized since returning to work from my maternity leave months ago. I have home management binders that are yucky ducky now. I am also putting my car package together as it is time to be prepared for this lovely snow that doesn't seem to want to stay gone. Thanks for giving us a challenge, as I can't back down from one.

Julie, I also found your blog through Lara's link. You have a great challenge going and I have thought of trying to do it, but haven't quite started yet....just one more thing. I also enjoyed reading your other entries. My sister lives in Price so it was interesting to read your blog. I asked her if she knew you, but she said your name was not familiar. I'm not sure what ward they are in. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I enjoy your blog.

I'm from Idaho, & I have a food storage & organizing blog. I'm going to definitely add a link to your blog! I LOVE this GAG idea! I've heard of keeping copies of documents with 72 hour kits, but this is SO perfect! Thank you!
