Woot! 100 Posts!

In accordance with the blogging celebration of writing 100 posts, I present you with "100 things about my life" to commemorate my 100th post! Woot! Woot!

  1. I don't have a middle name. No initial. Just a letter.
  2. My middle letter is “M”. It doesn't stand for anything.
  3. I have four older brothers.
  1. I have a birthmark on my right wrist that is the size of a nickel.
  1. When I was younger, an even younger kid asked me if I had mud on my hand, while pointing to my birthmark.
  2. After him making fun of me, I decided to cover it up with a watch, or other piece of jewelry.
  3. As an adult, I have enough confidence that I don't need to cover my birthmark, but to this day, I can't stand to wear a watch on my left wrist, only on my right.
  4. I don't like to wear jewelry. I will wear earrings, and one ring-usually my wedding ring-but that is it.
  5. I am very opinionated.
  6. I am always right.
  7. I am a Type A personality.
  8. I like to be on time.
  9. My favorite color is purple, even though I don’t wear a lot of purple. I have one purple shirt.
  10. I have a really good memory and pay attention to detail. I had a co-worker tell me that I would be a successful profiler.
  11. I like wool socks. Smart Wool socks, with cute stripes.
  12. I played high school sports. Softball, and volleyball.
  13. I am a two-time 3A softball champion.
  14. I was mentioned in the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune as a sophomore, noting my hitting skills at the state championship tournament.
  15. I attended a Jazz game with my college roommate, her date, and Austin (while we were dating) and we had seats on the third row from the floor.
  16. At the Jazz game, we sat directly behind their opponents that evening, the Houston Rockets.
  17. The press took a picture of John Stockton, published in on the front page, and there we were in the picture. Austin looked like he was picking his nose. He was just resting his hand on his face, though. Or so he claims.
  18. I found out that night that Charles Barkley has a very foul potty mouth.
  19. I like using tea tree oil on my face.
  20. I think the best lotion in the world is Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Lotion.
  21. I really can’t stand the smell of any other baby lotion.
  22. My favorite lip balm is Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm.
  23. I have never been hospitalized.
  24. I have never had surgery. Unless you count mole removal a surgical procedure.
  25. I have had stitches in my knee, back, stomach, neck, and head. Oh, and I had some stitches after giving birth.
  26. I tore my knee open in the sixth grade playing with my friends. We were throwing the football to each other over the roof and I was racing after the ball to beat my friend to it. I skid on my knee, and the asphalt tore a huge gouge in it. I think I had twelve stitches. Still have a nasty scar.
  27. I am a Republican.
  28. I am not very interested in politics.
  29. My favorite subjects in college were math, and science.
  30. I earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Geology.
  31. I took a fun Geology of the National Parks class my freshman year of college.
  32. I love the National Park Service.
  33. I hope to visit every national park in this country before I die.
  34. If I am lucky, I will be able to visit other national parks in different countries before I die.
  35. I have never been to Disneyland, nor do I have the desire to ever go to Disneyland.
  36. I once sat and listened to a conversation about Disneyland between four other people for almost a complete hour. Once they realized that I hadn’t said anything about the place, they asked me if I have ever been there. When I said ‘no’, they spent the next half hour convincing me that I should.
  37. I’ve been to California once, as a child, and spent a little time in the ocean.
  38. I worked for the National Park Service for four years.
  39. I obtained Permanent Status after working one season. LUCKY!

  56. My favorite treat is anything gummy. E.g., gummy bears or licorice.
  57. I have never smoked a cigarette.
  58. I have never tried drugs.
  59. I have never swallowed alcohol. I once took a drink from a friend’s glass at a party that I though was water. Turned out it was some sort of alcohol. Once it hit my tongue I spit it out and scraped my tongue off. They didn’t give me their drink on purpose thinking they could weasel me into drinking alcohol for the first time, it was a complete mistake.
  60. Does that mean I have never drunk alcohol?
  61. I like to buy bags.
  62. I also like to buy coats.
  63. I have way too many bags and coats.
  64. I like to go to bed early. Usually around 9:00 pm.

  74. I worked on a ropes course one summer, and one of our responsibilities was as a river guide on the Green River. On one trip, the river was really high and my raft was pinned near a rock. I got swallowed out of my raft, pulled into the water, and nearly drown.
  75. I didn’t want to tell my mom about that adventure until days after it occurred. It scared me to death.

  81. I love to craft and be creative.
  82. I want to own my own business someday. I can’t decide if I want to make announcements/invitations (i.e., wedding, baby, etc) or if I want to be a professional photographer.

  84. I have a very supportive and loving husband that works very hard to provide for his family.
  85. I have eaten rattlesnake and buffalo meat.
  86. I have a scheduled cleaning routine that I stick very close to. 94. I had a spiritual experience when I was three. I look forward to the afterlife when I can experience it again and get the details firsthand. I only know the details that my parents recalled from the experience.
  95. I have always lived in Utah, and plan to stay in Utah for my entire life.
  96. I want to keep going with this list, but I’ll spare you any more details of my life. Woot! 100 posts!

I have birthmark that reminds me of the Great Salt lake, and I had a freind ask me if I was dirty too! Darn boys. I also love purple but don't wear it very much and will eat gummy/chewy things over chocolate any day. Thanks for the fun list!

I didn't know you didn't like to be teased! If I ever bother you too much, just let me know. I try to tone it down a bit because my family can get a little extreme sometimes. Unless you meant the mean kind of teasing - I really try to not do that. I was amazed that you came up with 100 things and read your list very carefully. I love it! And look, I can finally leave you comments!
