Busy Painting

For the past couple of weeks I have been painting my dining room and kitchen.

I only have time to paint in the mornings, and it has been slow going with a toddler running around trying to "hep paint", as she would say.

However, I am finally finished with the dining room, and have painted over the Raspberry Red (by Martha Stewart).

What you probably can't tell from this photo is that the new color of red is a deeper and more rich red. It is called Drum Beat Red, and it is a beautiful accent color. (Wow! From these photos, I would have to agree with my husband who said that the wall color doesn't look much different. But, that is just the lighting for you.)

The cream wall in the background leads to the kitchen and I am not finished with that portion yet. The kitchen is being painted beige to match the rest of the house. Here is a peek at what I've finished.

Before: (I hated the zig-zag from the moment I first saw it.)

More on the painting project later.....

I can see a slight difference. I love the deep reds. I have a deep red accent in my bedroom. It looks great! And, I love your large black curio! Love it!

Looks good! They say that red is the hardest color to paint so good job. We would love to get together when you are down in St. George. Let us know your schedule and we will figure out a time. I'm sure Haydn would love to play with your little girl.

I can tell the difference too. I like how you just painted one wall red and the other beige. It looks so much better.

Isn't painting with kids fun?
