I realize it's been a while since I've taken pictures of my cards, so I wanted to do another post. This is the card I will be contributing to the group:
I will be sure to take a picture of the cards that I receive, so you can get an idea of how creative the women in my group are.
Oh, and I wanted to show you this organization idea I came up with. I bought a shoe holder from a yard sale a while back, and didn't really know what I was going to use it for, but thought I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use all the cubbies for some great organization. I knew I wasn't going to use it for shoes, and after a while, the idea hit me to use it for storing my handmade cards by category.
The left column of the cubbies holds blank cards and envelopes. The middle and right columns hold all of my cards, sorted in categories like baby, birthday, blank, Christmas, misc. holidays, etc... Each of the circular tags have the categories written on them so my husband, or anyone else, should be able to go to the cards and pick out the theme they need.
I organized my craft closet over a year ago and it is still functioning very well for me. I love the storage baskets that I picked up from Walmart. They have all the perfect sizes, and they are easy to carry and store things in.
As much as I like my closet, I would really, really love to have a room that looks like this. I am so in love with this room, and would die to have all the product she has. Wow-za!

Lovely! The card is beautiful, and I love the idea of how you used the shoe organizer. Very creative.

Hey Julie, I wanted to give you the sad news before time elapsed too long. We will not be taking our vacation to Utah like we had planned. There is just too much going on in our lives right now that we can't find the time to break away. We do hope to still make the trip in the spring sometime, but I realize that is so far away. Sorry for the news...we were really looking forward to seeing all three and a half of you!
That card is beautiful! I just bought some stamps so I can start making stuff, but I could sure use some pointers to get me started. Your shoe rack turned organizer is genius. Don't you love yard sales?
Julie...so excited you are coming...Thanks for letting me know and I am so glad that you found my blog. Your craft set up looks awesome...it is wonderful to have space and a place for all of the Stuff we thing we need right? I will talk to you when you come about the wieght gain thing...remind me! See you soon...oh the night starts at 5:00 and goes until midnight...come hungry and I am just asking everyone to bring a treat to share...your choice. Let me know if you need directions to my house!
