My Daughter Keeps Things Crack-A-Lackin'....

....and some 'Popping', too!

The other day, I was thinking that my 28 1/2 month-old daughter is very smart.

Smart enough that there shouldn't be any reason to keep outlet covers on the majority of the outlets in the house. Smart enough that she wouldn't even think about sticking a metal scrapbooking tool into the outlet. Pop!

Smart enough not to unroll the toilet paper directly into the toilet, and then flush it.

Smart enough that when she is riding her bike and threatened that it will be taken away if she rides down the street without an adult, that she won't try to ride it down the street.

Smart enough that she understands the consequences to the actions she does.

Smart enough that she would have no desire to take all of the baby wipes out of the container and then entirely shred to pieces three or four of the wipes throughout her bedroom.

Smart enough that she wouldn't get into the freezer, find the chocolate chips, and dump the entire package on the kitchen floor and then laugh and giggle with her friend until they got caught.

You'd think her mother would smarten up and start expecting the unexpected. Always!

Thank goodness the times of stress are paired with some good laughs. I couldn't help busting a gut when Jader came downstairs with my headlight wrapped around her shoulders and butt.

That's funny! Thanks for reminding me that my kids aren't the only crazy kids out there! It is much better to always remember the good over the bad, the laughing over the yelling, the loving over the spilling etc etc. Motherhood is never boring!
