I went to the doctor this morning, and fortunately, the baby is still head down. Yay!!!!!!!
Unfortunately, I haven't progressed as much as I thought I had with all of the contractions I have been having. Basically, I'm a 2 with little effacement. I highly, highly doubt this little guy is going to be coming on or before his due date (this Friday).
I just hope he isn't six days late like his older sister. Those were the longest six days in my life!

Julie, I remember those last few weeks of being pregnant. I believe your body goes through a process to give birth. A very uncomfortable and painful experience getting the muscles, bones, nerves, mind, tissues for the birthing process. My body started the process weeks before my delivery date and I also went into labor with out any assistance. I think our bodies know what they need to do. Sometimes things don't work out that way but our body does know. Good luck! All the old wise tales about getting labor going don't work - we tried them all. Don't waste the time and energy on them. When that baby boy of yours is ready to come into this world it will happen - don't rush it because he isn't just quite ready. I know you don't want to hear that right now because of how miserable you are. Chin Up! I am so excited for you and your family.
