Only Dreaming!

I woke up this morning from a bad dream wherein I caught my husband texting, calling, and writing love letters to another woman. Thank goodness it was only a dream! The ironic thing is that he had written me a love note to read. What a sweet man. Now I guess I can't tease him for "cheating" on me in my dreams.

The reason I awoke is even more alarming. I heard a crash in the basement, and my mothering instinct told me it wasn't a good crash. I hopped out of bed (I've been sleeping a little later than my daughter lately. Apparently she has decided to wake up during all hours of the night like her little brother, then she wakes up at 6:00 am ready to start the day. Huh??? Mom needs more sleep than that!!), ran downstairs and called out to Jader. She didn't answer me, so I started semi-frantically searching all the basement rooms. I tried to open the door to my craft room, but the door wouldn't budge.

Two mattresses had fallen over (they were propped on the other bed in the room because we just replaced the bed in our room with a King-Yay!!), and were blocking the door. I yelled to Jader to see if she was in there, and she wouldn't answer me. In seconds I noticed the purple pant legs of her pajamas, and she was lying face down on the floor at the end of the two mattresses. I yelled her name again, while trying to push the door open (it was barely budging), and she finally! decided to answer me. She pops up off her belly and says 'yeh'? She was fine, just lying by the mattresses, but OMG! I about died thinking she was pinned under those mattresses. Scared me to death. And what is the deal with her taking FOREVER to answer me.

I am so glad she is fine, but that doesn't take away from the fact that she has been a major, major stinker lately. Holy Moly. She likes to scream a high pitched scream to get attention (sound like a baby to anyone else? Maybe it's jealousy?), has been hitting and kicking lately, and she refuses to listen to her parents.

However, a funny thing happened this morning. As most of you know, I had a baby six weeks ago, and at the doctor yesterday, he approved us to resume all normal, uh-hem, 'activities'. So, the morning after, Jader walks into my room and sees a small bottle of KY Jelly (warming action) on the night stand. She thinks it is Visine and want to put it in her eyes, because she saw her dad doing this a couple of nights before. I took the bottle from her and explained that it doesn't go in the eyes. I promptly put it away. Then, she noticed a wrapper lying on the nightstand, and she thought it was a candy wrapper and she wanted some of it, too! Hilarious!

At least it wasn't as bad as my girlfriend's story where her little girl walked into her room (without their knowledge) and quietly climbed the bed and was sitting on their pillow while they were getting some action on. Imagine their surprise! I, at least, remembered to lock our door. Next time, I'll remember to clean up the evidence a little better.

I hate scary moments like that!I'm glad she was okay. Did you wake up mad at your hubby, even thought you knew it was a dream? I've done that before. Also, I remember my parents getting really upset when my little sister found and opened a box of individually wrapped balloons in their room. What was that about? Parents are strange. :)

Oh that is sad about the mattresses...I know that feeling of panic. And so funny about the "unmentionalbles" story...we have learned to lock our door too!!!
