What a Blessing!

We had a very busy weekend! Austin's family traveled to Roosevelt (some from Idaho, others from Utah) to attend his Grandpa's graveside service on Saturday. Since all of his family was going to be around for the weekend, we decided to bless GW on Sunday.

We had everyone in our immediate families in attendance. This is the first time this has happened since we were married nearly eight years ago. We had a very crowded house with 19 adults and 18 children. Thankfully the weather was lovely, so we could kick the kids outside to play in the yard. I'm so glad we had a swing set to keep them all entertained. We got through the weekend unscathed, with only some minor damage, which included a broken glass, a potential computer virus, a broken seat on the whirly-twirl, and a broken water gun. Nothing big, thankfully.

We didn't have any broken bones, bloody noses, or other injuries. I am quite surprised about this because it looked like an elementary recess break in my back yard every time I had the chance to look.

It was nice to spend time with family, even though it felt like a whirlwind. I don't feel like I really got visit with anyone, and by the time I had set GW down for a nap, everyone started leaving. What?!?

I'm glad it is over and that we have the peace and quiet back in our home. I'm sure my children are happy about that, too. Especially the baby. He likes his "schedule", and I noticed how alert he was with all the happenings. He wanted to be awake and involved in everything. This isn't a small task for a seven week old.

I didn't have a lot of time to take pictures, but I at least I got a couple of pictures of GW in his blessing outfit. I'll have to get some better pictures taken some time this week. That is, if I can catch up with the laundry, dishes, and housework that needs to be done.

Julie,

I am so sorry I was the cause of the broken glass and probably the computer virus. I tried to print off a coupon and probably installed a coupon print bar or something to your computer. It is all my fault half the bad stuff your mentioned in your blog. I feel bad about it all. I also wasn't able to say goodbye or say thank you!! please forgive. We had a fun time and we are glad we could come see your house and your new baby.

I'm sorry we didn't stay longer! Our little guy was having a hard time with everything himself, as I'm sure you understand.
It was nice meeting the other side of your family and being able to celebrate GWs blessing day with you guys.
Scott got some pictures I'll send to you as soon as I can.
