My birthday is in April, and I'm turning 30! Yikes!!! For something fun, I thought I would do a meme with '30 things' about me (what I have/haven't done, what I like, etc), but I want to do a twist. I want to give away a birthday gift (from me) to the person that can crack my code. This code will be listed after my '30 things'. Good luck! If no one is able to crack the code, then I will start adding hints and tips to help you figure it out.
Oh, and the gift will be a Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap. The code-cracker can choose from one of four different scents: Midnight Pomegranate, Dancing Waters, Tropical Passionfruit, and Warm Vanilla Sugar. I'll send it to you in the mail, unless one of my local friends cracks the code. You have to be the first to answer to get the gift.
Here's my list:
1. Apples, nice crisp apples, are one of my favorite treats.
2. I like making my own sentiment cards. It is a creative outlet for me.
3. I have never broken a bone.
4. I kissed two different boys in the same weekend. Neither one knew about the other.
5. Lately, I have been amazed with how smart my almost-three-year-old is.
6. Even though I hate to admit it, I am a very competitive person. However, I think I’m a fair player.
7. I get together with my girlfriends every Thursday night to play a mean game of Nertz. And by “mean”, I mean “fast”!
8. I have knee problems, yet I still play sports on a regular basis.
9. Did you know I am married to my high school sweetheart? We met in Seminary.
10.My favorite color is purple.
11. I want to own my own business someday. I’m still thinking of what I should do, but I’d like it to revolve around something creative that I can make with my own hands.
12. I don’t like to be teased.
13. I worked in the Law Enforcement field for four years. I miss it. If I ever go back to work, this is the field I’d like to return to.
14. I don’t plan on returning to work until my children are raised and out of the house. I am lucky enough to be able to stay home, and I thank my husband daily for working so hard to support his family.
15. I have never shot and killed an animal for sport. Nor do I intend to.
16. I have an affinity for bags and zippered hoodies.
17. I love fresh peaches.
18. I want to have eye corrective surgery someday. I wear glasses 80% of the time, and contacts 20% of the time. I hope to be glasses or contacts free within the next five years.
19. When I was three, my brother and his friend bounced me off a trampoline ten feet horizontally into a pile of weeds. I wasn’t hurt, amazingly.
20. When I was in high school, I went to Prom on crutches after suffering a knee injury playing softball.
21. One day, I’d like to run in a marathon. This will be a monumental feat, because I hate to run. See #8.
22. Some days, I dream about what my life would be like if I weren’t married, and didn’t have two children. I’m not saying I would change the way things are, I just fancy thinking about my single, carefree life, circa 8 years ago.
23. Never have I ridden in a commercial aircraft. You know, the big planes.
24. Recently, I have no desire to exercise. Even though I have a lot of baby weight to shed. What is the deal with that?
25. I use tote bags when I grocery shop.
26. I like to sleep. While most people need 8 hours, I need 10.
27. Sunday is my favorite day of the week.
29. I don’t like gold jewelry.
30. I like serving others.

The answer is: I am older and wiser
This is how to solve my code. There are sixteen numbers, so the Caesar Box is a 4 X 4 square. To start the code, you would set the square up like this:
16-5-1-16
1-9-23-22
10-6-9-6
21-28-19-28
The secret part of the code, is that I used the first letter of each sentence that corresponds with the number. So, for 16, the number is "I". 5 is "L", etc. Once you have the square and letters, you read the message from the left column to the right, and from the top down. So, you get the answer "I am older and wiser".

I'm not even going to try to crack the code...my brain is fried. I am so tired today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY...oh the big 3-0! Awesome! I loved it when I turned 30. It was a bigger birthday than I had ever had. I loved it!
I copied and pasted some of your post about bloggers putting their emails into their profile for my deals blog. I was too lazy to type it all...I hope you don't mind! I changed a bunch to my specific needs, but some is copied. :)

Happy Birthday season! My favorite color is purple too and I would love to have Lasik done, but my prescription may be to bad to fix. Sad. And maybe the needing more sleep than the average human is a mom thing. If I can get it, I'll take at least 9 hours, sometimes more. I hope GW is letting you get more of it these days. :)
I don't know when I have ever had a physical desire to exercise...I think about it constantly...but finding time and energy is another thing. That was a fun list...wow 30 you have me beat by a year...yahoo...you win, for that competitive side...ha!!! I really do not like being teased either...good think I didn't marry a teasing guy!!! Fun to get to know about you...and seriously I can't think of what your code would be besides something to do with your birthdates???

As far as the code goes... I'm totally lost. I thought it might have something to do with your list and came up with a whole story of how you're going to fly someplace you read about all alone to run in a marathon where you'll wear a purple shirt and when you're finished you're going to eat apples. See...so...I tried!
