Lately, my son has been the king of cat naps. I couldn't get him to sleep longer than a 45 minute stretch during his daytime naps, and no longer than 2 hours at night.Enter in my friend who told me that she still swaddles her 5 1/2 month old.
I quit swaddling GW a long time ago, because he would work his way out of it, and it started getting warmer. I didn't want him to get a heat rash from overheating.
I took her advice, and I decided to try swaddling him in a flat sheet. The first time I did it, he settled down for a nap on his own, and slept for 2 hours. I swaddled him for bed, and the darling boy slept seven hours without waking. It was heaven for me!
I hope he can keep it up.

I am a full believer in swaddling. I swaddled Libs until she was probably 10 months old. She did wiggle out after a time but she still liked to be swaddled. Way to go...and I am glad you are getting some sleep too!
Huge swaddling fan here too. Claire (6 months) is still swaddled for every nap and for nighttime. There is no other way in my book!!
