We decided to get brave and finally take the training wheels off the little girls' bike. I was really impressed how my sweet one took to it so quickly!
Ha ha! Just kidding. Here is the real video of Kalli giving the bike without training wheels a shot.
(Sorry that they are sideways....I'm learning how to use my camcorder/camera, and realize that I can only take the video in one direction. I tried to edit it before loading, but it didn't work. Next time.)
The reason she is 'walking' her bike before she starts riding is because she learned how to keep her balance on this little bike we bought for Grant last month. It doesn't have any pedals, so they start to learn balance from the get go. Grant will be able to go from his Hot Walk to a bike with pedals (with no transition of training wheels in between). I'm sure he'll be riding his bike before he is three. He loves bikes!
That said, the transition for Kalli was quite smooth because of this bike. She was riding within 30 minutes of her wheels being taken off, and she loves practicing.
Speaking of bikes, I have money saved up from blog designing that I plan to purchase myself a road bike this spring. I just need to have a baby, and get my knee fixed first. Can't wait! I'm looking at this one.
(**Note: Please ignore the sniffles coming from behind the camera. I've been a little sick. Also, Kalli is wearing her pajamas because she and Grant have been sick as well. And, lastly, the green Subaru Forester in the background will be for sale in October if you know of anyone that wants a great little commuter car.)

Wish I had known about the walking bike earlier! Olivia is having trouble learning how to ride w/o training wheels. She is a chicken...that is the biggest problem. That bike is brilliant...
