Girls' Weekend in Park City

The last weekend of July, I went with the Game Night Girls (sans Michelle, add Britanie) to Park City, Utah.

Back row: Tonia, Julie; Front row: Melanie, Tiffany, Britanie, Becky, Kim

We enjoyed a night's stay in a condo where we (not necessarily in this order) played Nertz (duh!), ate junk food, caused some problems at the pool, stayed up til 4:00 am talking, took crazy pictures, laughed, worried about the brakes on the vehicle we were riding in, and laughed some more.

The next day, we were pampered at a local spa, albeit a little 'crazy' local spa with some interesting employees and the spa dog. I enjoyed my first pregnancy massage (which was heavenly) and I also got a great pedicure.

I could have called it a day at this point. Because the next six hours were torturous. We spent three of those hours in a local auto repair shop, getting the brakes fixed on the previously mentioned automobile. And, after that nightmare, we went to the outlet malls where the majority of the gals enjoyed some shopping.

The room I shared with Mel (nothing fancy, but very comfortable)

For me, the shopping was not enjoyable. An understatement, really. Imagine a woman-who doesn't even like to shop-seven months pregnant, with a painful knee injury, in the middle of the day (read: heat) walking around an outlet mall. That was me. It was awful. But, the other ladies had a good time, and I can look back now and not have the horrible feelings I did for the almost three hours that I was alone, doing nothing (besides reading the lesson that I had to teach in church the next day).

Becky and Britanie

I look forward to our next weekend away, but I really hope that it doesn't involve shopping. :)

I didn't realize quite how torturous it actually was for you, until I read this :( But, if you just erase that from your memory, it was a great time!
And at least you can say you had me for a roommate! Let's go back!!!

Mel-you are the best roommate I've had and definitely made it worth the trip.

Michelle-I use a photo editing program to round the corners, then I just upload them like you normally would. Easy peasy!
