I Dedicate This Post to My Faithful Reader: Carolanne

Hi Carolanne,

I think you are the only one that reads my blog, so I thought I'd just write you a letter here and save some postage. Thanks for always leaving comments for me and letting me know you care.

Oh! I wanted to tell you that with you encouragement in purchasing the right chair, I am getting the chair that I want for my birthday! I can hardly wait.

I've missed you since you've moved to Idaho. I can't believe that you can run a treadmill looking out your window. Sounds too boring for me. I have to ride my bike outside in gale-force winds to get my exercise. Last night I went for a ride, and the wind was pushing me uphill. Seriously! On my way back, in the headwind, I was only going 8 mph, when two nights before, I was easily cruising at 25 mph. It was quite the workout. I also think I got some windburn. But, that's the price you pay when you exercise out in the elements.

The strong wind reminded me of playing softball in high school. Sometimes the wind would blow so hard that you could literally lean into it and it would hold you up. Crazy stuff!

I haven't found anyone to swap meals with since you left. My family is lucky to have dinner on the table every night. When I slave away on a yummy meal, my children never appreciate it. So, we tend to have easier dinners (less oven cooked meals, and more crockpot meals). No use in wasting my time making something that they won't eat. Right? And, a more simple meal usually means less dishes for me to wash, too. Win-win! BLT's, tacos, quesadillas, etc..But, I miss having a break in the kitchen.

We have been potty training Grant lately, so good luck in teaching "W". Expect a lot of accidents, but don't make a big deal about them. We use a potty chair with stickers and a toy for incentive. Once they have the chart filled with stickers (stickers for peeing in potty, pooping in potty, washing hands, taking pants off/on, flushing toilet) they get their toy. A couple of rounds worked for Kalli, and Grant is well on his way with three days in a row without an accident, and then a couple of accidents, then more days without them. I have a document about it if you'd like me to forward it to you. Just let me know!

Anyway, I better end this letter. I miss you, friend! Thanks for being awesome!!!
Julie

Hey-I check your blog. We've starting introducing the potty to my 2 year old this week also He will go when I tell him, but he refuses to sit on the toilet, so that is challenging for going number 2. I would meal swap with you if I could. Our neighborhood is great, but their not really into the meal swapping thing. I agree with you, we stick with pretty easy meals so it's less time in the kitchen for me and my kids don't eat it if it gets to fancy.

P.S. That's awesome your so busy with your design business. You are awesome at designing so no wonder you are busy. One of these days when I have some extra cash, I want you to do mine. It is in major need of a makeover. But now that I'm not working any, my extra money is non existant. I'm brainstorming up my own business, so when I get that going, I may hire your services for a website.
