Summer Fun and Random Factoid

Jader has been enjoying the warm weather by running through the sprinklers and playing in the water. Whenever we are out in the yard working, she will always find the hose to play with. She got daring once and stuck her entire face in the sprinkler. She didn't like it, to say the least. For the most part, she loves the water. However, she is still adjusting to large pools of water. I've taken her to the local wave pool, and she wasn't a big fan of the waves (or the cold water). I'm going to keep trying because I know she will enjoy it one day.

Jader has been spending time at the softball fields during the week since Austin and I are both playing on teams. She has a blast with the other kids, and loves playing in the dirt.

Jader has a toy called Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set by Leap Frog. It is the best toy for teaching the ABC's and Phonics. The set has magnetic letters that teach the name of the letter, the sound it makes, and plays songs. It is such a fun little toy. She is only 14 months (the toy recommends 2+ years), but she is already starting to sing the rhythm of the ABC song. Very cute!

The reason I bring up this toy is for the Random Factoid. After seeing all of these magnetic letters on the fridge, I began to wonder what the longest word in the English language is that uses each letter of the alphabet only once. I looked up word oddities on the web and found the longest word is 15 letters long. It is UNCOPYRIGHTABLE.

There are two other words with 15 letters, dermatoglyphics and misconjugatedly. How exciting, huh? Don't you feel smart now?
