Lemi Shine: The Hard Water ExpertThis product is absolutely amazing! Let me tell you why I can not live without this product.
When we first purchased our house, I was frustrated to find the condition of our dishwasher to be sub par. The previous owner had three young children (all boys!), and it didn't seem as if they ever rinsed their dishes before starting a load to wash.
I was so excited to have a dishwasher to use, because prior to our home ownership, we stayed in a small apartment and had to hand wash our dishes for two months. Normally, this wouldn't have been a dilemma, but I had a one year old daughter to chase around, and didn't want to spend all of my free time in the kitchen doing dishes.
So, you can imagine my chagrin when I used my dishwasher for the first time, only to have my dishes come out more dirty than they were before I started. I took a closer look inside the dishwasher and found my answer to my dirtier dishes.
The entire inside of the dishwasher was coated with food debris. We even found small toys and a Popsicle stick inside the body of the dishwasher. The container that held the silverware was caked with a nasty, indescribable film, and the bottom of the dishwasher was brown and disgusting.
It's amazing I didn't notice these details while loading the dishwasher. It must have been the excitement.
I tried everything I could think of to clean my dishwasher. I ran the dishwasher empty and put a bucket load of vinegar into it, hoping that the food debris would rinse free and travel somewhere out of my dishwasher. It helped, a little. But I still was not satisfied.
I washed everything by hand- the racks, the silverware container, the inside of the dishwasher- and found it to be acceptable. However, I changed my mind when my dishes were still coming out with spots and food particles on them. I also had realized that we have very hard water, and my dishes just didn't look as clean as I wanted them to. Who wants to drink out of a glass cup with a filmy lens on it?
I ran my loads with my regular detergent (which worked so good in the past), plus I added vinegar. This worked so-so, and before long, I was very frustrated and felt defeated that I would just have to live with the job the dishwasher was doing, or get a new dishwasher.
Then I found Lemi Shine. My sister-in-law is the person who told me about this great product. She told me I could find it at my local Wal-Mart store, and that it worked like a charm. Immediately, I went to the store to purchase this product (which is around $3) to try it out at home.
I fell in love, instantly! And I am not even kidding. This product fulfills my requirement of being all natural and utilizes natural fruit acids and oils to do the job. It smells good, and works beautifully. It not only cleans your dishes to a sparkling white, but it keeps hard water buildup from even forming so your dishes (and dishwasher!) stay nice and clean.
I will continue to buy this product for as long as it is in production. I only have one hang up, and that is that I think the bottle is too small that they sell in a retail store. I wish I had the option of purchasing a larger size. I am seriously considering purchasing the 5 gallon pail.
If you have any problems like the ones I have experienced, then go out and purchase this product and give it a try. I promise, you will not be disappointed!

I wish I had a dishwasher to try it out on! lol Maybe one day - and I hope I remember this too. For now, I am the dishwasher.
I can't believe you don't have a dishwasher. I'm so sorry. I know how much time that must consume. If you like doing the dishes, I am sure it's fine, but otherwise, Argg...
I do enjoy doing the handwashing. For me, that is somewhat relaxing. It's the small dishes that frustrate me.
Kristin, thanks for spending time with my Mom. I wish I lived just a little bit closer so I could hop by every day. I appreciate it!
It is very time consuming and I can always think of a thousand other things I'd rather be doing, but I'll be alright! It is relaxing, sometimes, but I think so much that sometimes I'll think of something I think is quite a bit more important, go to do it, and forget I was doing the dishes. Oops...
You don't have to thank me for spending time with your mom! But, thank you. She's a lot of fun to be with and I enjoy it a lot. Maybe more than she does. =)
