21 Cucumbers

I don't enjoy shopping at Walmart, but let's face it, I save a lot of money there. In the past, I have clipped ads from the smaller grocery store chains, only to find out that Walmart has cheaper prices on their food when it isn't even on sale. Now, granted, I know that if I couponed, I would probably save a lot more money at Smith's and Albertson's, but I don't eat a lot of processed food, and that is usually what is on sale.

Every once and a while, I will shop at Smith's because it is the closest to my home. More often than not, the cashier will make a mistake on my bill. I usually catch it, but this week, I didn't. I came home wondering why my groceries were so expensive when all I purchased were fruits and veggies and some tortillas. Come to find out, instead of charging me for 2 cucumbers, the cashier charged me for 21 cucumbers. That was $16 dollars worth a cucumbers.

When my husband went to the store to rectify the situation, they tried to return all of the charge to us, instead of the difference. It took some time for him to convince the service desk that we did purchase some cucumbers. We just bought 2, instead of 21.

hey I say if they hire idots who return all the money to you than take it. wait an idot rang you up wrong too. how many times can it go wrong. I agree on the coupon thing. I hate walmart but they are so cheap.

I have noticed that a lot of things ring up incorrectly at Smith's, and even occasionally at Walmart! It is amazing how much you can save by checking your receipts! I am glad you caught that! :0)

I have heard that they do that...make a mistake and then end up giving you the thing for free because they can't get it together...how annoying!
