I canned 21 quarts of peaches with my husband last Saturday. Yes, I actually convinced my husband that he should help me and learn how to can. Either that, or he was tired of hearing me whine about how hard it is on my body to can while being pregnant, and he felt sorry for me. Either way, he helped and we had a lot of fun.
During the canning process, I had something happen to me that has never happened before. When I was putting the bottles of peaches in to the water, I had two of the jars break on me. It was my second batch, and apparently I had waited too long between batches and the jars and contents got too cold for the hot water. Once they hit the water, they just broke right out of the bottom. I was so disappointed. I just kept saying, 'I can't believe that happened'.
At least I haven't had an experience like my great aunt. She was processing cans in a pressure cooker and had the contents blow up in her kitchen, sending food everywhere. I'm knocking on wood that never happens to me.

I have been practically swimming in peaches myself. I hope I never see another peach (until next fall I guess!)
