For my 500th post, I decided to celebrate by dedicating it to the person that keeps me from blogging as much as I'd like to in my life right now. Happy nine months, Grayson!!!
Isn't he a doll? I just want to eat him up! Speaking of eating. He is a great eater. He loves solids, and I am happy that he is good at self-feeding. I will feed him baby food once and a while, but I really don't have a lot of patience for it, so I like to give him little things to eat on his own. He recently had blueberries, and when he was finished feeding himself, he had stains on his fingers and face. Oops! He still likes to nurse, but with all eight of his teeth, it has been painful for me. I gave him a bottle last night, just to give myself a break (mind you I nursed him one hour earlier) and to top him off, and he liked it. When I started feeling a little bad for giving him a bottle, I offered the breast and he wasn't interested. He just wanted the bottle back. He had fun waving the bottle around and chewing on the nipple. Better it than me!! (Sorry to any male readers..which I doubt I have anymore..probably scared them away with TMI a long time ago!!) :)
Personality-wise, he reminds me a lot of Kalli. Very active and always on the move and very vocal. He loves to babble and yell and make his presence known. Grant was (and still is) my silent explorer. I always know where Kalli and Grayson are because they are so loud. This energy makes me nervous, though, because Kalli is difficult to parent right now, so I am a little nervous about how Grayson will be when he is five.
Grayson and Grant are sharing a room right now, so I usually tend to Grayson right away if he starts fussing. I don't want Grant's sleep to suffer, even though he is such a good sleeper and probably wouldn't even wake up if I let Grayson cry. But, since I usually get Grayson and nurse him back to sleep, he wakes up twice, sometimes three times a night. I am ready for this to end. I don't want a repeat of Grant, who took more than a year to sleep through the night. It is exhausting.
Grayson loves to dance to the music. I was in tears the other day, laughing so hard, at his cute little dance moves. What a ham!
I thought Grayson would be walking by his nine month mark, but so far he is only standing on his own. He is cruising the furniture and walking with push toys, or if you hold his hands, but he hasn't taken any steps on his own. I don't mind that, though, because I feel like he would be even harder to keep track of and would probably get more bumps and bruises.
They just grow up so fast! Even when I felt like time was moving so slowly after my knee surgery and recovery, the time really has gone by so quickly. Gryason is closer to one than he is to zero, and it is crazy to think the time has passed and he isn't so little any more. I love having him in my life and watching him grow! He brings me lots of joy and happiness! Love you, Grayson!!

the night nursings are the worst when they share a room. i would let eliza come snuggle with us while millie was crying it out for a those few nights. now they both sleep soundly and no more night nursings. good luck.
He is so cute! I am glad you are doing well ! :)
That is a really cute picture of Grayson.
He is such a handsome kid. I hope I get to meet him someday. If he's turning out like Kalli, you're going to have your hands full!
My goodness that boy is gorgeous!! Don't grow up too fast, kiddo!
