Grayson is ten months old!

Grayson is ten months old today! And, true to my nature, I am still a once a month blogger! I still don't know how that happens---that an entire month passes without me entering a post--but it does. I have been journaling by hand, though, so it's not like that much time is passing without making a record. :) In fact, I started a journal of letters to my children. I decided that one day, I think they will really cherish a book of letters written specifically to them and during specific periods of their lives. The only problem is, they might end up fighting over it...(children, please don't fight over it).

Anyway, back to Grayson. He loves being outside. We went fishing yesterday and he loved eating the little pebbles, tried to eat a worm, and actually ate some worm dirt. He didn't like it, and spent the next five minutes trying to blow bubbles of spit (with dirt) out of his mouth. He loves the trampolines, and playing with the children's bikes when they are out.
This picture was taken by me, from underneath the trampoline. Grayson loves both of our trampolines (we have a little one inside, and a big one outside--they both have nets, and all the children love them!)

He has a mouth full of teeth, but I think he is pushing some more through because he often has his fingers in his mouth (like this photo) and it has been a little more painful than normal nursing him lately.

I wanted to include this photo with the wrinkled forehead because it is a face I see often. It is so cute to see him explore, to notice something, and then to get this look while he is thinking and processing what he has seen. Children are so amazing! I am always so grateful for my three children.

One thing that has changed from my previous entry, is that Grayson has been sleeping better at night. He has been sleeping seven to eight hour stretches, and that has made it so much easier on all of us. (Just because I wrote that sentence, I am sure we will have a long and difficult night...ha ha!)

He still loves eating his solids and is adjusting to eating table food very nicely. We have a little baby food grinder that we put a portion of our dinner in and grind it up for him to eat it. He has had spaghetti, lasagna, potatoes and chicken, fish, etc....and his tummy seems to be handling it well. That is a huge change from just four months ago when he started having solids. It is crazy how quickly and how much a child changes in one year.

Grayson isn't walking yet. Phew! If he stays on schedule with his brother and sister (which he has), I have one more month until he is walking. It is exciting, and kindof sad, because he really is growing so fast.

Grayson, we are so happy that you are a part of our lives. Thank for making us laugh and bringing us so much joy! You are an amazing little boy and I look forward to watching you grow and develop and make good choices. Love you tons, little man!

He's a handsome little guy! I love the trampoline picture, it was a neat perspective to shoot from. I haven't written in my journal for more than two years. I guess I'm a one or the other type girl, and right now blogging is winning. I think your letter idea to your kids is really neat. They will love that someday, even if they do fight over it. :)
